Unity North Truth Center Creates Film Fund to Support The Active Mind

Unity North Truth Center will serve as Fiscal Sponsor for a documentary titled The Active Mind, a theatrical film capturing the relevance of thought and energy, and how it determines our lives. The film is the project of Susan Barta and Toucan Films, Inc.

The Active Mind explores how Quantum and Bio-Energy scientists are discovering evidence that supports the healing work of early metaphysicians of the 19th and 20th centuries.

The Active Mind will detail the beginnings of the philosophy New Thought starting with the work of Anton Mesmer and P.P. Quimby, Emerson, Dr. Emilé Coué, Mary Baker Eddy, Thomas Troward, Emma Curtis Hopkins, and the founders of the New Thought groups. Staying with the actual words written by these beginning metaphysicians, much of the historical origins will be told through re-enactments, dramas of recorded events, leading into the ‘influences’ of this philosophy as shown in publishing, entertainment, science and lifestyles.

The Active Mind explores today’s research on topics like the Human Energy Field and Vibrations of Consciousness, Meditation and the Power of Prayer.

Interviews with Dr. Norman Shealy, pioneer in complimentary medicine; Bruce Lipton, PhD, cell biologist and author of “Biology of Belief”; Marilyn Schlitz, PhD, VP Institute of Noetic Sciences and researcher in the fields of consciousness, transformation and prayer; Peter Osterlund, historian First Church of Christ, Scientist; Alan Anderson, PhD & Deb Whitehouse, New Thought historians; are already ‘in the can,’ but there is much to do to finish this film.
